COLD FLAME NEW LINE UP
As you may already be aware Cold Flame have undergone some major changes in personnel during the last few months.Back in July two band members quit unexpectedly with first drummer Dave Slater who had been with the band for three and a half years leaving and then flautist Ben Daglish unexpectedly following suit a few days later.Though their individual reasons were quite different - Dave wishing to persue duo caberet work - Ben wanting to concentrate more fully on folk rock band LSO, the timing ensured that the band ,very reluctantly, felt the need to shelve further live bookings including some prominent summer festival bookings as well as an appearance at the 3rd Spanish Tull Convention in Barcelona,Spain where the band had been booked primarily for their Jethro Tull tribute show. Whilst the remaining members of the band fully realised this was a major disappointment to a lot of people - organisers and punters as well as the band , in the circumstances it seemed to be the right decision to make.Naturally there followed several weeks of auditions and rehearsals during late summer with a view to a return to live action as quikly as possible. The results of these activities sees a brand new Cold Flame line up.Joining the existing nucleus of Patrick - vocals, bass ,recorder; Davyd - vocals, piano accordian, Rob - vocals, acoustic and electric guitars and Simon - acoustic and electric guitars; are the following new players.....

PHIL MARKE - DRUMS AND PERCUSSION
All the way from Macclesfield following a stint with r and b group The Detectives.Phil brings a percussive solidity that has already won him many admirers following recent Flame gigs around the Derbyshire countryside. A regular top guy with unbridled enthusiasm. A month with the band and he already admits to being a converted Tull fan for life.

PAUL NEWLAND - ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC FIDDLE , MANDOLIN
Joining our acoustic/electric splinter group COLD FLAME ACOUSTIC please welcome local hero and top musician Paul Newland ex Celtic Soul Cowboy and Curragh Sons. Anyone who has seen Paul play will know just what a superb musician he is and yes you've guessed it - Paul is another top guy with unbridled enthusiasm making him a visual treat ! He also is a big Fairport Convention fan so expect some interesting versions of great tunes from the jolly Fairports and Richard Thompson.

PETER CHEETHAM - FLUTE, VOCALS, ACOUSTIC GUITAR, ALTO SAX
Surprise suprise!!!! even by Cold Flame standards. After a two year lay off in which he has worked on a solo acoustic album entitled 'Shine' former Flame frontman Peter Cheetham has rejoined the band primarily for our Jethro Tull tribute performances and will be out and about with the rest of us in December when we play some pre Christmas Tull tribute shows. Fans of the band will remember Peter not just for his musical prowess but also his theatrical and humourous style in recreating the classic posing and stage craft of Tull leader Ian Anderson.

AUTUMN GIGS
Both Cold Flame and Cold Flame Acoustic have been out and about playing a selection of Flame original and Tull acoustic and electric music throughout the Derbyshire countryside during the last six weeks which culminated in a sell out show in Glossop last weekend when the band raised several hundred pounds for All Saints Primary School, Old Glossop. Do check out the gig section of the band website for further dates this year which includes pre Christmas Tull tribute performances in both England and Italy. The band are also pleased to announce that original guitarist Dave Conner will continue to play occasionally with the band as indeed will ex drummer/vocalist Keith Bonthrone .

NEW RECORDINGS
Due to recent changes in band personnel, the new Cold Flame studio album will now be recorded in early 2006 featuring the new line up. Stay tuned for other live and studio releases including Pete Cheetham's new solo album 'Shine'.
